As I mention in week 1 post that I want to be a digital content and social media producer [DCP], this week I get to research about fieldwork. According to Study.com, DCP have a responsibility to look after the creation of digital content from concept through to delivery. This can be achieving by working with different artists and technicians to produce the digital content such as: videos, Photos, webpage, advertising email, poster for social media platform, and other campaigns.

For example one of the interesting work is Dove Choose Beautiful campaign produced by Ogilvy & Mather [O&M].

The campaign is heavily focus on the mission: to make women feel comfortable and confidence in what they are. This also created emotional connection between the company itself and their consumer. why? According to researched by Scott Magids, Alan Zorfas, Daniel Leemon; customers who are fully connected emotionally to a brand spend twice as much on average than customers categorized as highly satisfied. The video have clearly convey the emotional that need to be presented by showing people reaction and also using story telling techniques [getting people to tell what they are thinking at the event].

What is digital media? In today society every would say that it is digital integration of text, animation, graphics, audio, image or moving image . Establishing useful trails through the enormous mass of the common record Vannevar Bush, 1945. So digital media is the new media starting in 1950 when the television comes to home and 1952 with the IBM701. Following with the idea structure of the Internet in 1973 by Kahn and Cerf on going with Bill gates and Steve Jobs in 1970s and with the mobile phone à smart phone. Now as today do we have a new media? I would say YES we have a new media, which called the social media that allow two ways communication [connect, relationship] unlike other older media the form from one-way communication.
