Between weeks nine and ten I have made a prototype of the work with some paper, and Perspex. Here are some of the pictures.
Image 1 – paper prototype
Image 2- making prototype from 9.5mm Perspex
Image 3- making prototype from 9.5mm Perspex
Image 4 – Finish prototype [second stage]
Image 5 prototype and LED lights at the bottom
Image 6 and 7 the prototype and the laser at the bottom
From this prototyping, I have learned about the materials such as Perspex and lights. First, Cutting the Perspex is not simple as I thought because if the router moving too slow the material will melt and if the router moving too fast the material will crack. This is not a problem when using CNC machine or laser cutting. Second is about lighting, LED does not give enough out put as you can see from image five. For the reason, the work will be using a laser to display similar to the image six and seven.
